Founding and Early Growth (2004):

Kiska Solutions Inc. was established by Richard Chen in 2004, initially as an IT consulting firm. In its first year, the company experienced significant growth, primarily through sales to NYC government clients. This early success set the foundation for Kiska's future endeavors.

Expansion into Security Industry (2004 - 2014):

Noticing the burgeoning potential in the security sector, Richard Chen steered Kiska Solutions towards a new path. While retaining its core IT services, Kiska expanded to offer CCTV video surveillance, distinguishing itself from competitors and broadening its service portfolio.

Establishing Industry Leadership (2014 - Present):

Over the next decade, Kiska Solutions evolved into one of the most trusted and respected leaders in the NYC metropolitan area's security industry. The company specializes in diversified low-voltage systems integration, covering a wide range of services such as video surveillance, intercom systems, access control, alarms, A/V systems, phone systems, and IT networks.

Expanding Government Partnerships (2017 - Present):

Since 2017, Kiska Solutions has significantly expanded its role in key development projects as a subcontractor, underscoring our expertise and reliability in the security industry.

Notably, we served as a subcontractor for MDG Construction in the FEMA-funded NYCHA Ocean Bay (Bayside) Project. This project, part of the effort to rehabilitate and revitalize the Ocean Bay Apartments in Far Rockaway, Queens after Hurricane Sandy, involved extensive renovations and crucial improvements to infrastructure and resilience measures. Kiska Solutions' contribution in this project included the implementation of advanced security systems, a critical component in ensuring the safety and security of the residents. Our involvement showcased not only our ability to handle complex installations but also our commitment to community safety and resilience in challenging environments.

Building on this momentum, we have handled over $12 million worth of NYCHA projects, further cementing our reputation as a capable and reliable subcontractor in government-associated security projects. These milestones mark significant growth and recognition in our field, reinforcing Kiska Solutions as a trusted and leading provider of security solutions in the New York metropolitan area. More importantly, they exemplify our commitment to excellence and our ability to meet the demanding requirements of large-scale governmental security initiatives as a proficient subcontractor.

Formation of Kiska Fire Systems (2019 - Present):

In 2019, a significant development occurred with Richard Chen partnering with Anthony Vidulich, an industry veteran and expert with over 40 years of experience and NICET Level IV certification. This partnership led to the creation of Kiska Fire Systems, a specialized division focusing on Fire and Life Safety Systems.
