NYCHA Boulevard Houses (In-Progress)

Project Overview

At NYCHA's Boulevard Houses, a significant technological upgrade was undertaken to enhance safety and connectivity across its 29-building complex

Scope of Work:

  • Fiber Optic Cable Deployment: We installed fiber optic cables in all 29 buildings, significantly improving the network infrastructure to meet modern connectivity and communication needs.

  • Fire Alarm System Upgrade: In 12 buildings, we implemented advanced fire alarm systems with elevator recall capabilities, substantially increasing safety measures and emergency responsiveness.

NYCHA Williamsburg Houses (In-Progress)

Project Overview

In Brooklyn's Williamsburg Houses, historic charm meets modern security needs. Spanning 21 buildings, this NYCHA complex required a security update to match its commitment to affordable, safe housing. Kiska Solutions rose to the occasion, integrating Brivo's advanced access control systems into this diverse community's fabric.

Scope of Work:

  • Brivo Access Control Systems: We equipped all 21 buildings, including 20 residential structures and a community center, with Brivo's scalable and efficient access control solutions.

  • Extensive Installation: The upgrade included 800 IP cameras and 136 card readers, paired with 136 IP intercom entry panels, to secure the vast urban space effectively.

NYCHA Harlem River Drive I & II (In-Progress)

Project Overview

Kiska Solutions took on a significant project at the NYCHA Harlem River Drive I & II, encompassing both low-rise and high-rise buildings. Our focus was on integrating advanced security and safety measures to enhance the living experience of the residents.

Scope of Work:

  • Advanced Camera System: We installed a network of 730 cameras, providing extensive surveillance coverage for heightened safety.

  • Access Control Enhancement: The installation included 99 doors equipped with keyfob readers, enhancing secure access throughout the buildings.

  • Integrated Communication: We added 48 IP video intercom panels, facilitating better communication and security management.

  • Specialized Fire Alarm System: For the high-rise building, a specialized fire alarm system was installed, including elevator recall capabilities, to ensure resident safety in emergencies.

NYCHA Ocean Bay Community Revitalization Project

Project Overview

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy's impact, the NYCHA Ocean Bay (Bayside) Project in Far Rockaway, Queens, represented a pivotal revitalization effort. Funded by FEMA and monitored by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), this critical initiative focused on extensive renovations to enhance the infrastructure and resilience of the Ocean Bay Apartments.

  • Extensive Camera Network: A total of 600 IP cameras were installed, providing high-definition surveillance to ensure community safety and assist in incident management.

  • Advanced Access Control: We integrated 500 card readers across the premises, facilitating secure and controlled access for residents and staff.

  • Intercom Systems: State-of-the-art intercom systems were implemented to enhance communication capabilities within the 24-building complex.
