HD Upgrade
If you have an existing camera system over 5-10 years old, it is most likely an analog system without high definition. We can help you upgrade it to an analog HD system using the existing wiring or an HD IP system with brand new wiring.
The primary distinction between analog CCTV and digital (IP) CCTV is how video is recorded and delivered.
Analog Cameras capture images and transmit the signal to a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) through a coaxial wire. After converting the analog signals to digital signals, the DVR compresses the video file and stores it on a hard drive, and monitors need to be connected to the DVR to view the video. Alternatively, the DVR can broadcast the video over the internet via an internal network by connecting to a router and modem.
Digital Security Cameras on IP-based CCTV systems would first record the images digitally. Then, they can receive and send data through a computer network rather than traveling through a DVR. This method nixes the boxy setup with multiple ports in favor of an NVR, which is typically a simple software program that can be run on a device dedicated solely to operating the NVR or on a complete system.
